About this role
MongoDB seeks a Cloud Operations Engineer for 2nd shift weekend coverage to monitor and maintain MongoDB Atlas infrastructure, handle customer-facing incidents, and support a global 24/7 operations team. The role focuses on incident detection, troubleshooting, automation, and ensuring uptime for enterprise and government customers in a multi-cloud environment.
What you'll do
- Monitor Atlas platform for customer incidents and coordinate proactive resolution with global ops team
- Diagnose live incidents, distinguish platform issues from usage problems, and execute remediation
- Create and maintain alert dashboards, review logs, and perform server administration tasks
- Design and deploy systems to reduce mean time to resolution for customer incidents
- Automate routine monitoring and troubleshooting workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Participate in weekly on-call rotation and escalate major outages to leadership
