About this role
Neighbor is seeking a Software Engineer, Data to build and scale the data infrastructure powering their hyperlocal marketplace across all 50 states. As the first dedicated data engineer on the team, you'll own data pipelines, transformations, and analytics serving that enable company-wide data-driven decision-making.
What you'll do
- Design and build scalable data pipelines ingesting from production databases, APIs, and event streams
- Develop transformation logic using dbt to create a semantic layer for analytics
- Optimize and scale data infrastructure on Redshift and Athena
- Own pipeline orchestration and monitoring using Dagster
- Enable analytics and BI reporting through Superset
- Partner with data analysts and scientists to translate business requirements into data solutions
