Manufacturing Systems Engineer
About this role
Neros seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to own and optimize their Manufacturing Execution System (Manufacturo) end-to-end, serving as the bridge between production floor operations and software systems. You'll configure workflows, manage integrations with ERP and PLM tools, design work instructions, and ensure seamless data flow to keep drone manufacturing running at startup speed.
What you'll do
- Administer Manufacturo platform: configuration, user management, routings, work instructions, and release management
- Design and maintain integrations between MES and adjacent systems (ERP, PLM, quality, inventory)
- Translate manufacturing engineering requirements into executable work instructions and process routings
- Define production data structures and maintain accuracy of scrap, rework, cycle time, and takt metrics
- Troubleshoot production issues, data discrepancies, and workflow blockers in real time
- Train technicians and engineers on system usage and drive floor-wide adoption

- MES platform administration (Manufacturo, Solumina, Tulip, or Siemens Opcenter)
- Manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering
- MES-ERP integration and workflows
- API documentation, CSV/JSON data, and technical communication with software teams
- Work instruction design and process routing
- Production floor troubleshooting and hands-on problem solving
- Lean manufacturing principles (optional but valued)
- Regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace/defense, AS9100, ISO 9001)
