Fullstack Software Engineer, Child Safety Tools & Systems
About this role
Build AI-powered safety systems and tools for detecting and investigating child abuse across OpenAI's platforms. You'll own fullstack development—from data pipelines to operator UIs—enabling investigators to work effectively while handling sensitive content responsibly.
What you'll do
- Design and build intelligence systems that detect, triage, and facilitate human review of high-severity child safety incidents
- Develop across the full stack: frontends, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure to support operator and investigator workflows
- Partner with operators and investigators to understand pain points and iterate on tooling based on direct feedback
- Integrate AI models and APIs into production systems that handle large-scale data processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Policy, Platform Integrity, Safety Systems, and Research
- Measure and report impact using data-driven analysis to inform strategy and improvements
