About this role
Orb is seeking a Software Engineer to build core pricing lifecycle features for their revenue design platform, which powers billing automation and subscription management at scale. You'll work across the full stack—from real-time data ingestion to product design—collaborating directly with customers to solve complex billing and pricing challenges.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain extensible pricing lifecycle primitives and core product features
- Evolve the product data model to balance complexity with usability
- Scale real-time ingestion and query systems for high-performance deployments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, sales, and customer success teams
- Engage directly with customers to understand pain points and inform roadmap decisions
- Contribute to a skilled engineering team while learning and sharing technical expertise
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Full-stack development across frontend and backend
- Data modeling and database design
- Real-time systems and streaming architecture
- API design with user empathy
- Python (backend) and/or TypeScript/React (frontend)
- Problem-solving across complex domains
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication
