About this role

Orb is seeking a Software Engineer to build core pricing lifecycle features for their revenue design platform, which powers billing automation and subscription management at scale. You'll work across the full stack—from real-time data ingestion to product design—collaborating directly with customers to solve complex billing and pricing challenges.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain extensible pricing lifecycle primitives and core product features
  • Evolve the product data model to balance complexity with usability
  • Scale real-time ingestion and query systems for high-performance deployments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, sales, and customer success teams
  • Engage directly with customers to understand pain points and inform roadmap decisions
  • Contribute to a skilled engineering team while learning and sharing technical expertise

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Full-stack development across frontend and backend
  • Data modeling and database design
  • Real-time systems and streaming architecture
  • API design with user empathy
  • Python (backend) and/or TypeScript/React (frontend)
