About this role

Rain seeks a Compliance Engineering Specialist to bridge regulatory requirements and technical systems for a fintech payments platform. You'll translate AML, KYC, and BSA regulations into engineering specifications, design compliance controls, and serve as the technical expert during audits and exams.

What you'll do

  • Translate AML, KYC, BSA, OFAC, and FinCEN requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams
  • Design and maintain compliance systems including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence workflows
  • Review technical implementations for regulatory gaps and own remediation efforts
  • Develop compliance analytics, data quality controls, and reconciliation processes for regulatory reporting
  • Act as technical subject-matter expert during regulatory exams, audits, and third-party assessments
  • Monitor evolving regulations and proactively surface changes requiring engineering action

  • Python, SQL, or similar code reading and technical reasoning
