About this role
Ramp seeks a founding Privacy Engineer to design and implement privacy-by-default systems across their fintech platform that processes $200B+ in annual spend. You'll establish privacy practices, integrate security controls into products, and ensure compliance with evolving data protection regulations.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy privacy-focused application components across Ramp's product suite
- Collaborate with engineering teams to architect inherently secure and privacy-centric solutions
- Develop and implement data retention and anonymization strategies company-wide
- Monitor regulatory changes and adapt systems to maintain compliance with data protection laws
- Partner with Privacy Counsel to translate legal requirements into technical implementations

- Software engineering (4+ years experience)
- Platform, privacy, or security engineering (2+ years)
- Data protection and privacy compliance knowledge
- Python and Flask

- AWS (ECS and core services)
