About this role

Realm seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and engineering, spending ~25% of time onsite at mining operations. You'll prototype solutions in the field, troubleshoot complex industrial systems, translate operational needs into technical requirements, and ensure reliable deployment of AI-powered mining software in mission-critical environments.

What you'll do

  • Spend approximately 25% of time onsite with customers across the US, embedding in mining operations to understand workflows and constraints
  • Rapidly prototype and validate solutions in the field to solve urgent problems and prove feasibility before handoff to engineering
  • Lead all technical integration work including APIs, data pipelines, hardware/software interfaces, and security-sensitive deployments
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex systems issues across degraded and challenging industrial environments
  • Translate field observations into clear technical requirements and integration specifications for the engineering team
  • Advocate for customer technical realities internally and contribute to pre-sales by demonstrating product value onsite with prospects
