About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Build Reliability Engineer II for Components to embed quality and reliability into the Terran R rocket program across design, manufacturing, test, and launch phases. You'll work cross-functionally to establish scalable processes, controls, and inspections that balance risk management with production speed as the program transitions from development to scaled operations.
What you'll do
- Own design standardization, design for manufacturability (DFM), and configuration management activities
- Review work instructions, develop manufacturing processes, and document rework/repair procedures
- Conduct in-process build verification and coordinate traveled work during manufacturing
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to identify constraints and shape decisions proactively
- Establish quality system processes and controls that scale with the Terran R program
- Foster a culture of ownership and reliability without compromising production speed
