About this role
Vast seeks a Subcontracts Specialist for IT/Software in Long Beach to manage procurement strategies, negotiate IT and software supplier contracts, and oversee the full lifecycle of indirect spend agreements. The role bridges internal IT stakeholders and external vendors to ensure cost-effective sourcing and compliance with company policies in support of next-generation space station development.
What you'll do
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify IT needs and develop subcontracting strategies
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to source IT suppliers efficiently and cost-effectively
- Conduct market research, evaluate supplier capabilities, and negotiate contracts per RFQ/RFP guidelines
- Manage full procurement lifecycle from supplier selection through contract renewal and performance monitoring
- Collaborate with IT and Legal teams to ensure contract compliance with company policies and regulations
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve disputes, and enforce contract terms; develop supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly business reviews
