About this role

Vast is hiring a Systems Engineer to support the development of human-rated commercial space stations. You'll lead technical foundations through requirements management, design reviews, and verification campaigns while driving cross-functional engineering leadership and streamlining systems engineering processes.

What you'll do

  • Lead requirements definition, management, and traceability through design reviews and verification campaigns
  • Oversee technical management across multiple engineering disciplines and drive product readiness through milestones
  • Establish and maintain product breakdown structures and engineering lifecycle documentation
  • Own verification and validation plans to ensure technical quality and success criteria
  • Drive company-wide systems engineering guidance and influence technical decision-making across disciplines
  • Collaborate with design and flight reliability teams on mission risks, hazards, and system performance
