Relativity Space is seeking a Build Reliability Engineer II for the Propulsion team to establish and scale quality and reliability processes for the Terran R rocket program. This role bridges design, manufacturing, test, and launch operations to embed reliability into every stage of development and production while maintaining the speed and innovation that defines the company's culture.
What you'll do
- Oversee design standardization, design-for-manufacturability, and configuration management for propulsion systems
- Review and develop work instructions, process documentation, and standardized rework/repair procedures
- Coordinate in-process build verification and traveled work during manufacturing of rocket components
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to identify and mitigate reliability risks
- Establish quality controls and inspection protocols that scale with production ramp-up
- Drive a culture of ownership and quality while balancing risk management with program momentum
