About this role

Retell AI seeks an Applied AI Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers on designing, building, and deploying production voice AI applications. You'll bridge AI, software engineering, and customer success, solving complex technical challenges while helping customers scale AI voice solutions in production.

What you'll do

  • Design and deploy production AI voice applications in partnership with enterprise customers
  • Integrate Retell APIs and SDKs into customer systems and develop custom workflows
  • Debug production issues across APIs, webhooks, telephony, SIP, and infrastructure
  • Lead technical onboarding and serve as primary technical advisor during customer implementations
  • Investigate AI behavior, improve prompt quality, and optimize system performance
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization
