Avionics Automation Test Engineer I

About this role

Rocket Lab seeks an Avionics Automation Test Engineer I to develop automated testing software for spacecraft and avionics components. You'll collaborate with hardware engineers to improve testing efficiency and support the design of flight hardware while contributing to manufacturing tools and engineering processes.

What you'll do

• Develop automated testing software for avionics and satellite test programs
• Collaborate with hardware design engineers on Acceptance and Qualification test strategies
• Support spacecraft hardware design for improved testability and manufacturability
• Improve manufacturing and production software tools
• Contribute to engineering and business process development

• Python programming
• Linux software development
• Hardware development or electronics test engineering
• Electrical test equipment and instrumentation
• Data acquisition systems
• Communication protocols (TCP/UDP, serial)
• Software unit testing (pytest, robot framework)
