About this role
Rocket Lab seeks an Avionics Test Engineer I to design and execute test programs for space flight hardware and electrical systems supporting lunar, Mars, and national security missions. You'll develop test plans, manage qualification and acceptance testing, and contribute to engineering processes while working with industry-leading spacecraft and subsystems.
What you'll do
- Design and execute acceptance, qualification, and proto-flight test programs for space flight hardware
- Develop test plans and automated test platforms supporting hardware and systems development
- Analyze COTS component test levels against mission environmental requirements
- Support design optimization for testability and manufacturability of flight hardware
- Contribute to engineering and business process improvements for test and design practices
- Deliver technical documentation and analysis for internal leadership and external stakeholders
