About this role
Rocket Lab seeks an Avionics Test Engineer II to design, develop, and execute test programs for spacecraft electrical systems and avionics hardware. You'll manage acceptance, qualification, and proto-flight testing while supporting the integration of space flight systems for ambitious missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute test plans and programs for space flight hardware and systems
- Manage acceptance, qualification, and proto-flight test programs
- Design and build automated test hardware and platforms
- Support hardware design improvements for testability and manufacturability
- Analyze COTS component test levels against mission environmental requirements
- Contribute to engineering processes and best practices for testing and design
