GNC Engineer II
About this role
Rocket Lab seeks a GNC Engineer II to design, model, and analyze guidance, navigation, and control systems for launch vehicles and space missions. You'll support mission formulation, trajectory design, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and flight code development for both commercial and classified programs.
What you'll do
- Serve as GNC technical contact for business development proposals and mission requirements definition
- Conduct orbital and suborbital trajectory design, optimization, and analysis
- Perform Monte Carlo simulations and hardware-in-the-loop testing to verify GNC performance
- Develop and release flight code for ground testing, launch, and mission operations
- Document GNC solutions and participate in design reviews with customers and stakeholders
- Build automation tools and processes for GNC modeling and analysis tasks
