About this role

Rocket Lab seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to lead integration, testing, and launch operations for the Neutron reusable launch vehicle. You'll develop manufacturing processes, design ground support tooling, and oversee vehicle assembly and checkout procedures at the Wallops Island facility.

What you'll do

  • Develop concept of operations and design ground support tooling for Neutron component handling and vehicle integration
  • Create and execute procedures for flight hardware integration and ground support equipment setup
  • Support stage integration, propellant systems, avionics, and flight termination system development and refinement
  • Design vehicle maintenance architecture, build flow, and test operations for operational efficiency
  • Conduct vehicle system-level checkouts and manage non-conformance documentation into improvements
  • Develop processing facilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams on daily operations
