About this role

Rocket Lab seeks a Systems Engineer I/II to develop and maintain technical budgets, requirements, simulations, and test plans for spacecraft and space systems missions. You'll lead technical development of cutting-edge civil, commercial, and defense space programs while working hands-on with flight hardware in Long Beach, CA.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain technical budgets, system requirements, and verification techniques for spacecraft
  • Create simulations and analyses across vehicle functions and subsystems
  • Design test methods, execute testing, and perform data analysis on space hardware
  • Lead technical development and design of spacecraft missions from concept through deployment
  • Develop interface specifications, operations concepts (CONOPS), and design documentation
  • Support program and product management activities for space systems projects
