About this role

Root Access, a NYC-based hardware startup, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electronic circuits and PCBs from concept through production. You'll develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs while collaborating with a world-class team led by a patent-holding CTO, working on frontier electronics in the AI era.

What you'll do

  • Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits from requirements and specifications
  • Create schematics, select components, and manage PCB layouts including BOM and footprints
  • Perform circuit simulation and analysis (SPICE) for power, signal integrity, timing, and thermal effects
  • Bring up and debug prototypes using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab equipment
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, verification, and test teams throughout development
  • Support DFM efforts, cost reduction, and compliance activities (EMC/EMI, regulatory)
