About this role
Samsara seeks an experienced Sales Engineer II to drive pre-sales for strategic enterprise customers in IoT and connected operations. You'll combine technical expertise across hardware, cloud software, and APIs with enterprise sales acumen, partnering with sales leadership on complex deals while mentoring junior team members.
What you'll do
- Partner with sales executives to plan and execute strategic deals in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Diagnose customer pain points and architect tailored solutions across hardware, SaaS, and API integrations
- Deploy and configure IoT hardware, sensors, and dash cameras for proofs-of-concept
- Build and maintain trusted customer relationships throughout and beyond the sales process
- Mentor and coach other Sales Engineers, sharing technical and industry knowledge
- Champion cultural values and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices
