Electrical Engineer – Radio Frequency (RF) Systems
About this role
Saronic Technologies seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in RF systems to lead R&D on communications and sensing technologies for autonomous vessels. You'll evaluate, design, and test RF subsystems across multiple frequency bands while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate these systems into maritime platforms.
What you'll do
- Lead R&D efforts on RF communications, radar, and electronic sensing for autonomous surface vessels
- Evaluate and benchmark RF hardware across VHF/UHF and L/S/C/X bands, including radios, antennas, and signal processors
- Conduct trade studies and comparative analyses of commercial and military-grade RF solutions
- Design, prototype, and test RF systems including cabling, shielding, and power interfaces
- Model RF propagation and link performance in maritime and littoral environments
- Develop test procedures, perform validation trials, and mentor junior engineers
