Database Engineer

About this role

SHEIN seeks a Database Engineer III for their San Diego office to manage large-scale, mission-critical database infrastructure supporting a global fashion retailer. You'll work with a team of database and infrastructure specialists to build reliable, performant, and secure systems through automation and scalability solutions.

What you'll do

• Maintain scalable, reliable, and robust production database environments
• Monitor systems and diagnose/resolve database issues proactively
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and index tuning
• Build automation tools and scripts to reduce operational overhead
• Design new database architectures and scalability solutions
• Work across distributed teams with access to multiple customer environments
