Database Engineer

SHEIN seeks a Database Engineer III for their San Diego office to maintain and optimize large-scale, mission-critical database infrastructure supporting zero-downtime operations. The role combines DBA, SRE, and database reliability engineering responsibilities, focusing on building highly available, performant, and secure data services through automation and infrastructure innovation.

What you'll do

• Maintain scalable, reliable, and robust production database environments
• Monitor systems, diagnose issues, and resolve problems as needed
• Optimize query performance, tune indexes, and improve database efficiency
• Build automation tools and scripts to reduce operational overhead
• Design new database architectures to support growing business needs
• Work across distributed teams in multiple customer environments
