Radio Frequency (RF) Design Engineer

About this role

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary specializing in advanced mesh network communications for defense and public safety, seeks an RF Design Engineer to develop RF subsystems for their StreamCaster MANET product line. You'll work on antenna-to-baseband designs, from discrete component circuits to integrated RFICs, ensuring regulatory compliance and manufacturing excellence in a 100% onsite San Diego role.

What you'll do

• Design RF subsystems from antenna to baseband using discrete circuits and integrated RFICs (PLLs, LNAs, mixers, power amplifiers)
• Supervise or execute schematic capture and PCB layout implementation
• Characterize, tune, and troubleshoot RF performance; resolve EMI, harmonics, and stability issues
• Ensure designs meet FCC emission and immunity regulations
• Address RF-related production yield problems and improve manufacturability
• Occasional travel to other company locations (Irvine, West LA)
