Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer

About this role

Silvus Technologies (a Motorola Solutions subsidiary) seeks an RF Test Engineer to validate and troubleshoot radio frequency hardware for their StreamCaster MANET communications systems. You'll conduct hands-on testing, develop test strategies, and ensure performance meets specifications for mission-critical defense and public safety applications.

What you'll do

• Operate RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers) to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Execute RF tests, generate reports, and define verification matrices for product specifications
• Review test data and validate actual performance against requirements
• Design test fixtures and calibrate RF equipment
• Recommend improvements to test strategies and identify new testing techniques
• Perform occasional local travel to other company locations in the Los Angeles area

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Multi-GHz RF hardware test experience (minimum 2 years)
• RF test equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Component-level RF circuit characterization
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Test automation with Python or LabView (preferred)
• PCB layout RF design knowledge (preferred)
• Problem-solving and data analysis
