Software Test Engineer

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary specializing in advanced mesh network communications for defense and public safety, seeks a Software Test Engineer to ensure quality of StreamCaster MANET radio products. The role combines manual regression testing, exploratory testing, and test automation while collaborating with engineers to identify and resolve software defects in mission-critical communications systems.

What you'll do

• Execute manual regression tests and exploratory testing on StreamCaster software products
• Triage defect reports and collaborate with engineers on issue resolution
• Develop test scripts for features including PTT and network performance
• Document software requirements, design decisions, and detected defects
• Debug issues and perform ad-hoc testing across the software department
• Maintain software quality and usability standards

• Software testing practices (unit, integration, system testing)
• Python, C/C++, or related programming languages
• Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, or Bare metal development environments
• Computer networking fundamentals
• Wireshark, TCPDump, and network diagnostic tools
