About this role

Skydio seeks a Flight Test Engineer to validate and optimize the wireless systems powering its autonomous drones. You'll design test plans, conduct real-world flight testing, and analyze RF performance data to ensure reliable communication between users and aircraft across the growing product line.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute wireless test plans for RF system validation in lab and flight environments
  • Conduct flight tests and analyze data to verify video, control, and logging link performance
  • Collaborate with RF and flight testing teams to troubleshoot wireless issues and diagnose failures
  • Develop automated testing workflows and log analysis tools to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Document test results and deliver actionable analysis reports to engineering teams
  • Support wireless system debugging both on-site and in-field across multiple product variants
