About this role

Solace, a Series C healthcare startup, seeks a recent graduate (class of 2027) to join its security team as an Associate Security Engineer. You'll perform real security work from day one—rotating across incident response, cloud security, IAM, endpoint security, and compliance—while working in their Redwood City office 3 days per week.

What you'll do

  • Conduct incident response, cloud security assessments, and identity and access management reviews
  • Investigate security incidents, review access controls, and harden systems to close risks
  • Own end-to-end security projects and take accountability for findings and fixes
  • Automate repetitive security tasks using scripting and tooling
  • Participate in vendor security reviews, incident retrospectives, and risk discussions
  • Collaborate with platform engineers and compliance teams on security initiatives

  • Operating systems knowledge
  • Scripting in Python, TypeScript, Bash, or similar languages
