About this role

SpaceX seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and build hardware for Starship and Super Heavy vehicles at their Starbase facility. You'll work on next-generation launch systems, production infrastructure, and rapid iteration across design, structures, manufacturing, and testing disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop next-generation launch vehicles, launch pads, and production systems
  • Convert system requirements into hardware concepts and evaluate architectural trade-offs
  • Perform hand calculations and finite element analysis to optimize designs
  • Rapidly iterate on manufacturing processes and conduct development testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware integration across all Starship systems
  • Participate in design reviews and partner with engineering and production teams on continuous improvements
