About this role
SpaceX seeks a Mission Integration Engineer for Starshield, a government-focused satellite program. You'll serve as the technical lead and primary customer contact throughout the mission lifecycle—from initial proposal through launch and on-orbit operations—managing requirements, system trades, and stakeholder coordination for national security applications.
What you'll do
- Lead technical oversight across all program phases from proposal development through flight, commissioning, and mission execution
- Translate customer mission requirements into engineering criteria, verification plans, and contract deliverables
- Serve as primary customer interface at reviews and meetings to define interfaces, test plans, operations, and validate spacecraft readiness
- Conduct system-level trades across launch vehicles, spacecraft, and sensors to optimize technical and programmatic solutions
- Collaborate across subsystems and stakeholders to drive end-to-end mission success and educate customers on designs
