About this role
SpaceX seeks a Telecommunications Engineer to design, install, and support critical network infrastructure across production facilities, launch sites, and spacecraft systems at Starbase. The role involves managing fiber and copper cabling, voice/video systems, RF systems, and ground communications while coordinating projects with cross-functional teams and subcontractors.
What you'll do
- Design, operate, and troubleshoot fiberoptic and copper network infrastructure for IP-based systems
- Coordinate downtime and construction activities to minimize operational disruptions
- Drive telecom projects using design changes, power monitoring, and advanced detection methods
- Manage material procurement, contracts, and subcontractor relationships for large-scale projects
- Oversee equipment installation, operation, and maintenance to specified parameters
- Provide remote troubleshooting support to field technicians on existing systems
