About this role

Sphinx seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to build and maintain infrastructure for a cutting-edge satellite communications platform serving US government customers. You'll own AWS/Kubernetes operations, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure-as-code while collaborating with a small, distributed engineering team on mission-critical systems.

What you'll do

  • Maintain production AWS-based Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure and services with focus on reliability and security
  • Develop and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery workflows
  • Build and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code solutions for AWS environments
  • Create and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployments
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across AWS and Kubernetes environments
  • Manage AWS IAM permissions, role-based access controls, and cross-account configurations
