About this role
The Exploration Company seeks a Software System Engineer in Houston to support flight software certification and verification activities for Nyx, a reusable orbital vehicle. You'll manage requirements tracing, V&V documentation, NASA safety reviews, and collaborate with software and system engineering teams to ensure compliance with aerospace safety standards.
What you'll do
- Conduct verification & validation and IV&V activities for flight software against functional, performance, and safety requirements
- Manage requirements traceability from system-level specifications through software implementation and test artifacts
- Prepare and review certification documentation and NASA Safety Review materials
- Develop and maintain the software functional design baseline
- Plan and coordinate software testing for integrated mission scenarios
- Interface with internal Product Assurance and collaborate with development teams on technical issues
