About this role
Trace3 seeks a Tier 2 Engineer to deliver on-site and remote infrastructure support across North America, specializing in physical infrastructure design, wireless network deployment, and hardware configuration for diverse client environments. This 100% on-site role with heavy travel involves designing and optimizing wireless LANs, conducting RF studies, troubleshooting complex systems, and mentoring junior technicians.
What you'll do
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot wireless LANs including access points and wired network integration
- Perform RF coverage studies, site surveys, and wireless network optimization across various environments
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-level networking and server hardware with proper IP configuration
- Document network infrastructure designs and develop technical standards and reports
- Lead proof-of-concept trials and root cause analysis for communication issues
- Mentor lower-level technicians, guide junior staff on best practices, and support crisis management during outages
