About this role
True Anomaly is seeking a hands-on Environmental Health and Safety Test Engineer to embed within their aerospace test operations team, ensuring all test campaigns comply with safety regulations and best practices. You will develop safety procedures, conduct hazard analyses, oversee hazardous material handling, and serve as the on-site safety authority for high-energy and propulsion test operations in support of their space defense missions.
What you'll do
- Develop, review, and approve test procedures, hazard analyses, and safety plans for propulsion, fluids, mechanical, and high-energy test operations
- Serve as safety authority during hazardous operations including energetic materials, toxic propellants, high-pressure systems, and explosive atmospheres
- Conduct pre-test safety reviews and test readiness assessments to verify hazard controls and personnel training
- Oversee hazardous material handling operations and implement hardware and personnel safety controls
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Interface with regulatory agencies and range safety authorities to maintain compliance
