About this role
Twilio seeks a seasoned Android SDK Staff Engineer to own the architecture, development, and long-term technical direction of Voice and Video SDKs serving thousands of customers globally. You'll lead a team working across native Android, WebRTC, and C++ layers while driving cross-platform convergence and establishing Android best practices.
What you'll do
- Own Android SDK architecture, implementation, and technical roadmap for Voice and Video products
- Lead development and maintenance of Android SDKs including WebRTC, ReSiprocate, and C++ integration layers
- Drive build pipeline stability and CI/CD migration initiatives
- Define Android best practices and mentor engineers across the organization on Android-specific guidance
- Conduct code reviews, establish quality standards, and ensure high test coverage
- Collaborate with iOS, JavaScript, and React Native teams on cross-platform alignment and convergence
