About this role
Varda seeks an Applications Engineer to own the engineering systems stack including PLM, CAD/PDM, and MBSE tools while building workflows, dashboards, and AI-powered solutions to streamline aerospace hardware development. You'll work cross-functionally to integrate engineering applications, reduce cycle time, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
What you'll do
- Administer and manage PLM, CAD/PDM, MBSE, and change management systems including data integrity and vendor escalations
- Re-engineer engineering workflows to eliminate manual processes and improve data capture at source
- Build internal applications and ETL pipelines connecting engineering tools to enterprise data infrastructure
- Design analytics dashboards and reports using Power BI, SQL, and Python for engineering leadership
- Deploy AI-powered tools and LLM-based agents to streamline engineering workflows
- Support AS9100 and CMMC compliance documentation and partner on security audit readiness
