About this role
Varda is seeking a Space Mission Software Engineer to develop and maintain critical ground segment software for spacecraft operations, including telemetry systems, mission control interfaces, and simulation tools. You'll work at the intersection of flight software, avionics, and mission ops to enable reliable space infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain high-reliability ground segment services for telemetry ingestion, scaling, distribution, and commanding
- Design and deliver operator-grade mission control UIs and dashboards optimized for integration, test, and on-orbit operations
- Build simulation tools, device emulators, and automated test frameworks for avionics and operations teams
- Design and implement mission platform infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, service templates, and infrastructure-as-code
- Create robust deployment patterns for lab, test range, and mission network environments with safe rollout/rollback strategies
