About this role
Varda seeks an experienced Mission Operations Engineer II to lead on-orbit spacecraft operations for its Winnie Spaceship. You'll own the complete mission development lifecycle, work across engineering disciplines, and scale operational capabilities while automating workflows through software tools.
What you'll do
- Develop, coordinate, and execute on-orbit missions for Varda spacecraft
- Own full operational development cycle from mission profile creation through execution
- Lead cross-functional teams to improve mission operations and ensure success
- Build web tools and automation to reduce operational burden
- Scale operational capabilities to support increasing flight cadence
- Manage mission-unique payload operations and optimization
