About this role
Vast is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support the development of systems for the E-2 LOX/Kerosene oxidizer-rich staged combustion engine. The role includes maintaining test stand instrumentation, generating electrical schematics, and troubleshooting related systems at their Mojave facility.
What you'll do
- Maintain test stand instrumentation and control systems
- Generate and maintain electrical schematics
- Manage instrumentation calibration records
- Coordinate recalibration of instrumentation
- Work with technicians on electrical systems
- Implement improvements for safety and productivity
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 2+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls
- Experience with PLCs
- Familiarity with National Instruments and LabVIEW
- Knowledge of coding languages (Python, Matlab)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation
- Attention to detail
- Communication skills
