Site Reliability Engineer
About this role
Veeam seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to build and operate their Government and Sovereign Cloud environment within Veeam Data Cloud, a new SaaS platform. This ground-up role requires owning the full platform stack with restricted access, defining reliability practices, and managing infrastructure across modern and legacy workloads in compliance-constrained environments.
What you'll do
- Map systems, discover dependencies, and document the full VDC platform architecture through code review and stakeholder collaboration
- Design and maintain high-availability infrastructure on Azure Government, including SLI/SLO definition and error budget management
- Lead incident response, blameless postmortems, and reliability risk remediation within compliance constraints
- Close observability gaps by defining instrumentation standards, alerting thresholds, and monitoring practices
- Build and maintain IaC, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and testing frameworks for air-gapped environments
- Participate in on-call rotations and support chaos engineering integration while maintaining regulatory compliance
