About this role

Voyager Technologies seeks an RF Engineer in San Diego to design and develop RF subsystems for defense and space applications. You'll work on new product designs and troubleshoot existing systems, handling everything from schematics and PCB layout to testing and manufacturing support.

What you'll do

  • Derive RF subsystem requirements and produce schematics for UHF to Ka-band designs
  • Conduct PCB layout and guide manufacturing based on RF designs
  • Validate designs through testing and troubleshooting of RF circuit boards and assemblies
  • Develop and execute RF test procedures for complex systems
  • Support manufacturing and integration of PCBAs into higher assemblies
  • Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, proposals, and trade studies

What they're looking for

  • RF hardware and schematic design (6+ years)
  • PCB layout design, preferably Altium
  • LNA and Power Amplifier design (Ka/Ku-band up to 10W)
  • RF simulation and analysis tools
  • RF test equipment operation and lab practices
  • Multi-project management and fast learning capability
  • Python, C/C++, or MATLAB (preferred)
  • EDA software such as AWR, Genesys, or ADS (preferred)
