HIL Platform Scalability Engineer

About this role

Wayve is seeking a HIL Platform Scalability Engineer to build and maintain hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure that scales across multiple global locations. You'll design monitoring systems, automate operations, and ensure reliable uptime of HIL benches that validate autonomous driving technology.

What you'll do

• Design observability and monitoring systems for HIL bench health, uptime, and utilization across multiple sites
• Build automation tools to reduce downtime, increase availability, and minimize operational overhead
• Manage and maintain HIL infrastructure ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
• Develop automation for bench configuration management and version control
• Integrate HIL systems with test automation, CI pipelines, and scheduling frameworks
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues affecting HIL stability in collaboration with engineering teams

• Test infrastructure and HIL systems experience
• Monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Linux/Unix operating systems and command line tools
• CI/CD pipelines and test scheduling systems

• Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Terraform)
