Field Solutions Engineer, Strategic Programs
About this role
Field-deployed technical role bridging Xometry's strategic customer accounts and manufacturing partners. You'll grow business by identifying new production opportunities at existing customers while enabling manufacturing partners to successfully execute awarded programs through on-site technical guidance and capability development.
What you'll do
- Serve as embedded technical advisor at assigned strategic customer sites, identifying and qualifying new production programs
- Conduct discovery sessions with customer engineering, procurement, and program teams to uncover technical and business requirements
- Build technical business cases including DFx recommendations, process selection, cost reduction, and lead time analysis
- Translate customer requirements into executable technical packages and support manufacturing partner qualification and capability assessment
- Conduct on-site partner visits to validate process capability, first article readiness, and inspection methods
- Coach partners through production ramp-up, troubleshoot quality issues, and drive corrective action
