About this role
Zoox seeks an embedded software engineer to develop firmware for vehicle body, thermal, lighting, and power management systems. You'll integrate supplier hardware, coordinate sub-systems, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver production-quality embedded code for their autonomous vehicle platform.
What you'll do
- Develop embedded software for body, thermal, lighting, and power management subsystems
- Integrate third-party supplier systems and manage hardware-software interfaces
- Coordinate and control interactions between multiple vehicle body subsystems
- Collaborate with vehicle, systems, controls, and software engineers on cross-functional projects
- Write production-quality code for complex dynamic systems in automotive environments
- Communicate with suppliers on firmware requirements and integration challenges
