Vehicle Systems Engineer – Feature Owner
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Vehicle Systems Engineer – Feature Owner to define and govern vehicle feature functionality throughout the product development lifecycle. You'll own feature requirements, assess technical impacts of changes, and coordinate across systems engineering, design, and validation teams to ensure features meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.
What you'll do
- Own functional definition of assigned vehicle features including behavior, performance, and operating conditions
- Evaluate impacts of new features, enhancements, modifications, and regulatory changes on system requirements
- Identify downstream impacts across vehicle systems and initiate requirement updates when needed
- Collaborate with Requirements Management and Systems Engineers to translate feature intent into system requirements
- Communicate feature changes and requirement impacts to cross-functional stakeholders and resolve technical disagreements
- Identify risks associated with feature changes and support decision-making regarding requirement releases
