About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Flight Test Engineer to develop and execute test and evaluation strategies for small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and quadcopters. You'll lead flight test activities, manage sub-system qualification testing, and drive process improvements across a portfolio of cutting-edge defense platforms in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute T&E approaches and plans for sUAS/quadcopter aircraft with minimal supervision
- Conduct system and sub-system level testing of hardware and software at ground and flight levels
- Establish test success metrics, analyze performance data, and drive continuous improvement
- Lead or support test planning, execution, and documentation across electronics, avionics, and propulsion systems
- Coordinate test activities and work phases; determine appropriate engineering solutions to complex technical problems
- Travel as required for test planning and field operations

- 3+ years sUAS flight test engineering experience
- National Airspace System (NAS) regulations and UAS operating procedures
- sUAS/quadcopter engineering principles, codes, and theory
- Electronics, avionics, and propulsion system knowledge
- Software documentation and technical writing
- Quick concept comprehension and problem-solving across multiple engineering disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Independent and collaborative teamwork capability
