About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Metrology Engineer to design and implement advanced measurement systems and inspection strategies for defense technology products. You'll work hands-on with precision instruments like CMMs, 3D scanners, and laser trackers to ensure product quality and support manufacturing scale-up.

What you'll do

  • Design, validate, and implement measurement methods, inspection programs, and gages for parts and assemblies
  • Interpret and apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to develop inspection plans aligned with design intent
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and measurement system analysis (MSA/Gage R&R) to validate capability
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate metrology early in development
  • Operate and troubleshoot contact and non-contact measurement systems from vendors like Hexagon, Zeiss, and Keyence
  • Support root cause investigations and provide technical guidance to Metrology Technicians and Specialists
