About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to establish and maintain rigorous quality systems for advanced maritime defense hardware in Santa Ana, CA. This role combines aerospace-grade compliance (AS9100, NavSea standards) with hands-on manufacturing floor leadership to ensure autonomous surface and undersea vehicles meet the highest national security standards.
What you'll do
- Develop and sustain AS9100-compliant Quality Management System tailored to NavSea maritime requirements
- Implement statistical process controls, FMEA, and continuous improvement initiatives on the manufacturing floor
- Lead Material Review Board and Root Cause/Corrective Action processes using 8D and 5 Whys methodologies
- Qualify suppliers and audit special processes (welding, coatings, pressure testing) for regulatory compliance
- Plan and execute First Article Inspections per AS9102 and develop comprehensive inspection/work instruction documentation
- Conduct internal and supplier audits; serve as primary contact during customer and third-party audits
